Strawberry Picking in La Trinidad Strawberry Farm, Benguet

The town of La Trinidad in the province of Benguet is well known for its strawberry and vegetable plantations which entitled them as the ‘Strawberry Capital of the Philippines’. With its land area of almost 8,200 hectares and valley’s floor elevation at 1300 meters above sea level that makes the cool temperature of the place, they were able to establish a farm land for growing strawberries.

After we visited Mt. Jambo/Mt. Yangbaw – mountain peak in La Trinidad where you can witness sea of clouds and stunning 360 views. Visit blog post (Click here-> Mt. Jambo), we also thought of going to the strawberry farm and experience strawberry picking. Since we were already in town and it’s just few kilometres away from where we were, of course we grabbed our chance on visiting one of the major tourist spots in Benguet .

Hundred Islands, Alaminos Pangasinan

I have been places in the Philippines, from top beaches, islands, mountains, etc. But there’s one place I haven’t been to which has been famous for years, since I was a kid if I’m not mistaken. That’s why I was ecstatic to have a chance finally on visiting the top tourist destination in Pangasinan – the Hundred Islands.  And I also got a chance to confirm if it’s really one hundred islands ;)

Hundred Islands National Park is located in the city of Alaminos in the province of Pangasinan. Several islands are scattered in Lingayen Gulf in the North-western part of Luzon, and some of it have been developed already for tourism which named as: Governor’s Island, Quezon Island, Marcos’ Island, etc. And up to today, it’s still growing and they are continue developing for more tourists to come.

Itogon City – to be found in the Cordillera Mountains of Benguet, well-known as the center of big mining companies like Philex Mining Company, Itogon-Suyoc Mining Company, Benguet Corporation, etc. – offers a lot of tourist attractions, natures, and adventures rather than those mining businesses. The town has a chain of hills having numerous mountain peaks and the highest of them is Mt. Ulap.

Exploring the Island of Coron, Palawan

I was looking through old pictures in my laptop and found my ‘Coron Palawan’ album. And I suddenly missed going on a trip like this with friends. It was one of the days where we just had fun, gone far away from the busy cities, and just appreciated the beauty of nature in the Philippines.

Coron Island Palawan is a wedge-shaped limestone island, with few of its coastal areas being covered by mangrove forests. It has seven lakes, famous of which is the nationally-acclaimed cleanest lake in the Philippines, the Kayangan Lake. It also has a number of islands with white beaches and clear blue waters perfect for snorkeling, deepsea fishing and shipwreck diving. (http://www.coronphilippines.com/)

Vigan Tour, Ilocos Adventure

‘Nostalgic’ – one word that comes to my mind when you say Vigan, Ilocos. I’ve been wanting to visit the place as I am really a fan of old houses and ancient structures, also I've been hearing how beautiful it is.

Vigan, the capital city of Ilocos Sur is the world heritage site that it is one of the few Hispanic towns left in the Philippines and it is known for its cobblestone streets and unique architecture, which is a Spanish colonial architecture. The term Vigan referred the area as ‘Bee Gan’ by the Chinese settlers which means the ‘Beautiful shore’. Then Spanish conquistadors interchanged V and B, which is the name, used to this day as Vigan.

Paoay Sand Dunes, Ilocos Adventure

One of the famous places that we visited on our Ilocos adventure is the Paoay Sand Dunes, that obviously my favorite part of our entire trip because I made a separate post for this one.

Paoay Sand Dunes is located in Paoay at the north of Ilocos. It is a huge stretch of dunes or hill of sands where you can go on a 4x4 off road challenge or go sand boarding if you want to get down and dirty. And this place is not only popular for those sports adventures but also been the location for film makers. Movies like Panday, Temptation Island, and Himala were shot in here.

Sky Fun Amusement Park at Sky Ranch, Tagaytay

So my boyfriend and I being spontaneous on our weekend   trip, we searched on how we can get there, checked the reviews about the place, and then visited right   away.
