Today’s All Soul's Day. It has been a tradition to us to
visit, pray, offer candles and flowers for our departed loved ones on this time
of the year. Some have to travel far to their provinces just to visit which became
their habit already every year. With all the talks about this day, I remember
one time when we had a trip at Cagayan De Oro and able to do a side trip to
Camiguin. We were able to visit a cemetery along the way which I find really
unique and very historical.

Whale Shark 'Butanding' Watching and Swimming, Oslob Cebu
Oslob, one of the municipalities in the
southern part of Cebu was just an ordinary town until whale sharks were spotted
in the town in 2011. It has then become one of the tourist spots in Cebu where
you can have a one of a kind experience to witness and to encounter closely the
famous large creatures, Whale Sharks.
Whale Sharks (Rhincodon typus) locally
known as butanding is a slow-moving filter-feeding animal that is considered as
the world’s largest fish, measuring up to 18m and weighing more than 34 tons.
They live in tropical and warm places. They also like to swim near the water
surface. Actually, 'Butanding' was found first in the waters of Donsol, Sorsogon.
This is also one of the famous sites for swimming with the whale sharks.

I was so glad that I was invited on a food tasting event for bloggers at Super Duck Modern Tea. They have provided us samples of their bestsellers, discussed super duck origins, about the tea culture in Taiwan, and more. Thank you to sir Aldous for organizing this event, for the milk tea overloads experience, and learning a lot about teas. J
We all know that popular milk tea shops are everywhere now in Manila, and there was also rave the past years, people were addicted to it, most of these popular tea shops offer just the same taste or quality. Then here is this one shop which has its own kind of approach to their teas that makes them unique and I believe will make them stand out to others, it is the Super Duck Modern Tea Shop.

One of my favorite dishes if you would ask is definitely ribs. I am a big fan. If a resto offers this kind of dish, then I wouldn't miss it. I have tried already some other ribs all over metro cooked on different ways. There were tasty but costly, and there were also cheap but small and not so appetizing. And now I think I found the perfect ribs (in my belief) -- The delicious, immense, flavorsome, and most especially economical price Brian’s ribs of Casa Verde.
Casa Verde is a chain of family-owned restaurants which actually originated in Cebu City. When you try to search for a popular dining destination in Cebu, Casa Verde will be on top of it. That’s why people were thrilled when it landed here in Manila. They don't have to travel long just to experience its tasty twist home style comfort food. And as for me, I was curious because of its hype and of course when I heard that the best seller of this restaurant is their ribs.

Since my elementary days, I've been introduced on one of the
waterfalls in the island of Mindanao that is well known for its natural beauty
and also the primary source of electric power in the city. From Filipino textbooks, lecture of our
teachers, educational shows, etc., the Maria Cristina Falls is one of the favorites to be mention of or be proud of.

Noodle Invasion: Ramen Nagi @ SM Aura
Ever wonder how Japanese noodle dishes or ramen as they are
called just boomed here in Manila. It was 2013 when there are Japanese chains opening up restaurants all over the metro. And everyone’s been crazy about it. Well, the
Philippines is undeniably a “Chinese mami” country, we all loved and grew up
eating a quick-cooking noodles in a bowl. And it’s not far from what Japanese
had brought here, which has more different flavours and more different styles. Ramen
is made of Chinese-style wheat noodles, typically served in a meat or fish-based
broth, flavoured with soy sauce and uses toppings.

STK Ta Bay! sa Paolito's Seafood, Cebu City

One thing that Filipinos really love is Food. Do you agree?
That’s why for those who travel just like me; it’s the one thing that we look
forward to when we visit different places. And recently, I had my vacation in
Cebu which aside from their wonderful tourist spots, genuine people, I also
keep coming back because of their great dishes.
We all know that when people talk about famous Cebu
foodstuff, one thing that pops to their mind is ‘Cebu Lechon’, am I right? But
aside from it, Cebu is also known for their seafood dishes which they have
named it uniquely as ‘Sutukil’ or ‘STK’ that stands for SUgba, Tinola, and KILawin.
I have been to Cebu three times already, and I have observed that most of their
restaurants or eateries offer this kind of dishes. And from all the dishes that
I have tasted, I think I have found already the perfect place to make our seafood
cravings fulfilled.
