Who loves fried chicken? We all do! Right? And
so a brand new restaurant in UP Town Center will serve you our all-time classic
comfort food. Lucky Chick, a Southern restaurant is another venture of the
people behind Nolita, The Bowery, Borough, and L.E.S Bagels. They wanted to
take away our idea of fried chicken as a common or ordinary dish by making the
usual into extraordinary.
How to get there?
From Edsa-North
MRT/Trinoma/SM North Edsa, ride a jeepney that has a signage of ‘UP Diliman’.
The fare would
be Php 11.00. Then tell the driver to drop you off at ‘the oblation’ inside UP
Diliman. From there, ride another jeepney with a ‘Katipunan’ signage. And the
fare would be Php 8.00. Along Katipunan Avenue, you will now see the UP
town center just on the opposite side. And from there, you could just tell the
driver to drop you off on a pedestrian overpass that is nearest to UP town
center. Then cross the overpass and walk just several meters away towards UP
Town Center. Lucky Chick is located on the 2nd floor just beside Casa Verde.
Lucky Chick offers southern style fried
chicken. Their chickens are all huge having three flavors – original, hot
chick, and lemon & garlic and have choices of different kinds of gravy –
original, honey, and apple cider.
Drumstick Platter (Php420)
All I can say is that their chickens are
very crispy, very juicy, and very yummy.
Chicken Lollipop (Php200)
You can also have your Hot Chicken in a bun
which I liked more! The chili powder in it fits perfectly on the skin that
makes it tastier and flavorsome.
Hot Chick Sandwich (Php180)
For appetizer, they have Chicken Skin which
is a little different because of its flattened chips with a little spiced on it
and it is really crispy. I loved it! Don’t forget to order and try this once
you visit ;)
Chicken Skin (Php120)
Aside from the chickens they serve, they
have a lot of side dishes you can choose to complete up your meal. It includes
coleslaw, corn and carrots, mashed potato, donuts, French fries, green salad,
corn muffin, biscuit, etc. And almost all of them were delicious.
And surprisingly they also have the best
dessert! Ice cream sandwich, Pecan Pie, Peach & Mango Cobbler, etc. to finish off
your meals.
Peach & Mango Cobbler (Php200)
Ice Cream Sandwich (Php150)
Pecan Pie (Php200)
Lucky Chick is another good or comfort food
you are looking for with great dining experience having delicious dishes. You
would think that prices are a little bit pricey. But I tell you, it’s worth it.
They offer reasonable prices. Hoping you’ll be able to visit soon. I’m sure you’ll
enjoy not only the food but also their lovely place together with your friends
or family.
